The Law Enforcement Liaison team is made up of retired law enforcement professionals with cultural competency in providing peer support to emergency services and first responders. They are trained in the ICISF protocols for group and individual stress management, as well as the EMDR based Acute Stress Adaptive Protocol which was specifically created for First Responder peers to address trauma and crisis.
The Law Enforcement Liaison team provides peer support to agencies within Community Counseling Solutions five contract counties. They also provide oversight and training for area peer teams. The Law Enforcement Liaison team provides regional training on CIT, civil commitment & police officer custody (ORS 426.228), trauma informed policing, emotional intelligence, and suicide prevention.
