Sexually Transmitted Infections

STDs affect people of all ages, backgrounds, and from all walks of life, with the highest infection rate occurring in those aged 15 to 24. If not identified and managed properly, STDs can cause serious complications. Our efforts to improve our community’s sexual health include confidential testing, examinations, and treatment for all ages.

WHAT & HOW
STDs – sexually transmitted diseases – are infections that are spread primarily through person-to-person sexual contact that involves the genitals, mouth, or anus. STDs often have no symptoms so many people who are infected, but unaware, give the disease to someone else. STDs can also be passed from mother to child during pregnancy and childbirth.

Chances of getting an STD increase if you have more than one sex partner, or if you do not use condoms.
