Environmental Health
The Environmental Health Department provides a variety of environmental and public services under federal, state, and local ordinances. We are here to improve and control the environment and it’s factors to protect the health and welfare of the public.
Our job entails inspections of restaurants, pool and spas, RV parks, hotels, B&B’s, mobile food units, and temporary food booths.
The State of Oregon regulations require every commercial food worker who is involved in public food handling and preparation, to acquire a certified food handlers card. This must be done within 30 days from the beginning of work. An orFoodhandlers permit is good for three years. Click here to get your Oregon Food Handlers Card online!
